World Concern’s efforts reach a variety of difficult areas, particularly those not serviced by other agencies. Most of these areas face political, religious, and environmental restrictions.
World Concern seeks to fully immerse ourselves in the interests of the people we serve. Though handouts are necessary at times, we are in it for the long run. World Concern strives to bring individuals and communities out of poverty through community development. We partner with our beneficiaries—building the programs they need—empowering them to live with dignity and, over time, without our partnership.
We specialize in the areas of disaster response, education, microcredit, vocational training, child protection, clean water, and health.
World Concern Africa
We work in the Sub-Saharan region of eastern Africa, which includes countries that have been torn apart by war and devastated by drought. We currently have projects in Chad, South Sudan, Somalia and Kenya. Because east Africa is made up of a variety of groups of people living in a variety of environments, our work is diverse and is catered to an area’s specific needs.
